Be a part of Hayward’s legendary summer celebration, the Lumberjack World Championships by racing 5K (3.1 miles).
Start and finish at the Lumberjack Bowl, home of the Lumberjack World Championships. Tour the streets of Hayward on a fast and fun course that is great for running, walking, or both.

Registration Fee
- Ages 18 and over:
- $35 – April 1 through July 27
- $40 – July 28 through July 29
- $45 – July 30 (race day)- online only
- Ages 17 and under: $10 through race day.
- Register now to reserve a shirt and size!
- For late registrations, t-shirts and/or sizes may not be available

Strollers are allowed on the course, please note there is one trail section that is sandy. Please do not run with dogs during the event. Dogs are not allowed in Lumberjack Bowl.
Prizes and Costume Contest
The top male, top female and one lucky finisher (drawn at random) will win a free entry to any individual Birkie event!
Channel your flannel to the next level during your 5k! The participants with the best Lumberjack and Lumberjill costume will also be awarded a prize!
Bib Pickup and Race Schedule
Bib Pickup – tentative schedule
- Bib pick-up will be available at the Birkie Office/Store, Hayward, WI, on Thursday and Friday, July 28 and 29, from 9am-5pm.
- Saturday, race day pickup is from 7am-8am at Lumberjack Bowl.
- Pre-register before you leave home! No on-site registration available.
