Mt. Telemark Village Ski Trails
Check the Birkie Grooming and Trail Report page for the latest conditions.
There are two major components to the ski trail improvements at Mt. Telemark Village. First, the Birkie has been restoring the Tony Wise Trails that were first installed in the 1970s. (see Ben Popp’s complete article on this topic.) Second, the Birkie is expanding and improving the snowmaking system. When completed, the snowmaking system will cover some seven kilometers of trail and include state-of-the-art infrastructure that will make it easier for Birkie staff to provide amazing trails throughout the year. But make no mistake, this is an expensive endeavor and a big piece of the $10.2 Million Campaign for Mt. Telemark Village.
The Tormondson Family Snowmaking Loops
The Tormondson Family Snowmaking Loops are approximately 5km of machine made snow allowing for skiing in the early season and in low snow years for daily use, as well as ensuring options for competitive ski racing throughout the season. Approximately 15km of additional ski trails are maintained and open for skiing when natural snow conditions allow.
