Shred de She – Fat Bike

Join us January 3-5, 2025 for Shred de She – Fat Bike! This is a weekend adventure filled with the great outdoors, great riding, and great women who aspire to and love to ride. Riders attend workshops led by premier female outdoor specialists, learn riding techniques and bike maintenance, and enjoy local Northwoods dining at the Birkie’s world-class fat biking venue. Seeley Hills Classic
January 11, 2025
Ski the historic Seeley Hills Classic on January 11, 2025 and take part in a rich Northwoods ski tradition. The winding, wooded 42km classic ski race is the second-largest annual classic cross-country ski event held on the Birkebeiner Trail.
The Seeley Hills Classic is an important fundraiser for the Seeley Ski Club, which has supported skiing in the region for decades. The club spearheaded efforts to light the Birkie Ski Trail at the 00 Trailhead and develops, maintains, and grooms 15km of skiing at the Sawyer County Ski Trail. Today, with the help of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, the Seeley Hills Classic helps keep the legacy of Northwoods skiing alive.
The race is an American Birkebeiner qualifying race.
Ski de She Camp & Race
January 17, 2025 – January 19, 2025
Join us for the third annual Ski de She, a ski camp and race for women! Gain confidence with ski racing and training through specialized coaching sessions, workshops, dinners, and wax clinics designed by women for women. The camp cumulates with 10k, 20k, or 30k classic and skate race options open to the public.
Ski de She is a time for women to come together to expand their skills, build race confidence, and connect with fellow female skiers.
Participate in the entire 3-day camp or register for the race on Saturday. The Ski de She camp is limited to 100 women – don’t wait to register!
Birkie Tour & Night Race
January 25, 2025
Join us for a full day of both causal skiing and racing at the Birkie Tour and Night Race on January 25, 2025. Enjoy a casual afternoon tour starting at the American Birkebeiner trailhead that allows you to choose your own pace, distance, and effort. Ski with friends to various warming stations around the trail and enjoy some custom event swag. Later in the evening, compete in a 10km or 20km race under the stars! Choose both events or just one – create your own adventure.

Be a part of a legend! The Slumberland American Birkebeiner is North America’s largest and most prestigious cross-country ski race. Skiers make their way from Cable to Hayward, WI, on the legendary Birkie Trail, finishing on the snow-covered Main Street of Hayward, WI. Enjoy a week full of racing, live music, food, and ski events in the Northwoods. An estimated 40,000 skiers & spectators will attend Birkie week festivities. Don’t miss it!
